What position does Raytheon Anschütz have in the REACH process?
Raytheon Anschütz GmbH is an internationally operating manufacturer and trade company of navigation equipment and systems. Main relevance for REACH is given for producers/importers of chemicals, substances and preparation if the amount of 1t/a will be exceeded. But with respect to the REACH definition Raytheon Anschütz is acting as downstream user, therefore as downstream user and trader of articles mainly the duty of information has to be fulfilled.
Main focus for Raytheon Anschütz is to ensure supply to our customers. Therefore we need continuity in the total supply chain, which has been ensured by several actions taken. We have contacted a wide range of our supplier to make them notice to their REACH requirements. Furthermore, we have figured out, that we do not see the need for preregistration of any substance used within Raytheon Anschütz.
The biggest concern for downstream users is that the products containing SVHCs ( Substances of very high concern) would become unavailable. At this moment there are 84 substances on the SVHC candidate list and 14 substance on SVHC authorization list (updated on 18 June 2012).
We are internally screening all these potential SVHC against our product lists. None of these substances show relevance to the overall Raytheon Anschütz product range.
