Important Information about Raytheon Anschütz navigation systems

End of Service

Raytheon Anschütz offers worldwide service and support for all products delivered, and even for years after sales of a specific product was stopped. However, due to technological advances, obsolescence and no availability of spares from our supplier, we sometimes need to inform our customers about an end of support. If your installations are affected, you are welcome to contact our service departments (in case that you need technical advice) or our sales department for last-time-buy and individual retrofit suggestions.

Standard Radio products sold between 1996 and 2006
Service and support for Standard Radio products of type STR2000, STR2000R, STR2000E (all MF/HF) as well as STR1500, STR1500C, STR1500CN, STR1500CNT (all Inmarsat-C) have to be stopped by December 31, 2011.

Processors and Displays of MK2 Radar and ECDIS sold until 2004
Service and support for MK2 processors and displays, used for Radar and ECDIS, have to be stopped by December 31, 2010.

VHF of type STR8400 DSC sold between 1996 and 2002
Service and support for VHF STR8400 DSC have to be stopped by December 31, 2009.

Various generations of Anschütz Autopilots
Service and support for autopilots of type Pilotstar (102-834/-837) and NP 1600 (102-839 / 102-840) as well as NP A, NP D and Nautocourse have to be stopped by December 31, 2009. For an attractive retrofit offer, please refer to our current generation of adaptive and fuel-economic autopilots. 

Gyro Compasses of type Standard 12 and Gyrostar / Standard 14 sold until 1998
Service and support for gyro compasses of type Standard 12 (110-230 NG…) and Gyrostar / Standard 14 (110-106 NG…) have to be stopped by December 31, 2007. For attractive retrofit, please refer to our Standard 22 gyro compass retrofit solutions.

Important Note on Raytheon Anschütz spare parts:
Purchasing, installation and maintenance from non authorized companies is a risk! We have been informed, that in single cases non authorized companies in Asia have opened our gyrosphere in order to attempt repair. Furthermore products from Raytheon Anschütz (formerly Anschütz & Co. or Raytheon Marine), which likely have been taken from broken-up vessels, are offered from non authorized companies.
We like to point out that improper maintenance, deficient installation and not verified products can lead to serious defects and early loss of system performance, thus to increased follow-up costs. In case of an incident, the use of not original products and spare parts has wide-ranging legal effects including the expiration of the national and international type approvals.
Please pay attention that only authorised sales and service partners of Raytheon Anschütz are instructed to install and maintain your navigation systems and please make sure, that you only use original Raytheon Anschütz products and spare parts.
Of course, Raytheon Anschütz will not be responsible for any follow-up costs and warranty, which are caused by violation of this policy.
