The German navigation system manufacturer reports a successful SMM trade show in Hamburg.
"We are absolutely satisfied with the quantity and the quality of visitors attending our booth. Even if the impulse of this SMM certainly can't be compared with the impulse given in 2008, we feel vindicated in our strategy of having launched innovative technologies and having established own subsidiaries and high qualified sales and service partners close to the most active shipbuilders around the world", Jan Lütt, Director Commercial Business at Raytheon Anschütz, states.
In the foreground of the visitor's interest was Synapsis Bridge Control, which is the world's first bridge system that fulfills the demanding requirements of IMO's new INS Performance Standards. Visitors also were attracted through the new, safe NautoSteer AS steering gear control system including the fuel-saving NP 5000 autopilot, as well as through Raytheon Anschütz' new ECDIS 24 as a cost-efficient retrofit solution. Both showcases on fuel-efficient navigation technology, which were held Wednesday and Thursday togehter with WetterWelt Director Dr. Meeno Schrader, was well attended.
"Despite the tight-drawn market we have entered good discussion about new and demanding projects with various customers. We are confident to deepen these discussions during the next weeks", Jan Lütt concludes.
The next SMM will open its doors from September 9 to September 12, 2014. Raytheon Anschütz looks forward to welcoming all visitors again at their booth.
