Systems for Naval Surface Vessels
Raytheon Anschütz’ surface vessel segment encompasses numerous ship types up to frigate/destroyer size and large auxiliaries. The core business centers on sophisticated and tailor-made solutions for the ship’s navigation and control up to integrated bridge systems, inclusive of ship’s conning and platform management.
Cutting-edge equipment for individual needs
The corresponding product line encompasses cutting-edge equipment including inertial and mechanical gyro systems, data distribution and data management, navigation Radar, ECDIS, multi-function systems, autopilots and various single-/multi-purpose displays. With the know-how of a manufacturer, our competence in integration encompasses both own and third party equipment corresponding to individual needs.
Degradation management for safe operation
Today’s navigation does not rely on stand-alone systems anymore, but rather requires a system featuring a combination of various degradable navigation sensors with the goal of cost effectiveness and highest degree of availability. Degradation management is indispensable for safe, reliable operation on board naval vessels. This means that in case a sensor fails, the remaining sensors and their data are combined in such a way as to compensate for the lost sensor. Thus customer requirements for long periods between overhaul and administration of personnel are supported.
We have long experience as a system integrator for naval vessels, especially for MEKO vessels. The German Navy’s new corvette K 130 is the Navy’s first ship equipped with an Integrated Bridge System, built by Raytheon Anschütz.
