Environmental Policy

As a company, we are aware of the importance of environmental protection, because we recognize our responsibility in terms of the potential harm to the environment which may be caused by the procurement and use of polluting materials and hazardous substances. The preservation and protection of the health of our employees and the people in the surrounding areas, and the preservation and protection of the environment, are important goals for this and all future generations.

We give due consideration to environmental matters based on:

a) the creation and implementation of an environmental management system;
b) definition and implementation of the objectives and measures detailed below.

Raytheon Anschütz GmbH has committed itself to implementing the following objectives and measures:

1) Conservation of fossil fuels and finite raw material resources and avoidance, or at least reduction, of environmental pollution to the extent technically and economically possible.

2) Compliance with applicable environmental laws and standards, and development of in-house standards in order to meet internal and external requirements relating to the environment.

3) Cooperation with suppliers and other business partners in environmental matters, in order to comply with environmental protection standards throughout the value-creation chain in the manufacture of our products and systems.

4) Promoting the substitution of all materials, products and activities impairing the quality of life of our employees, our customers, and the people living in the areas surrounding our company premises.

5) Definition of measures contributing to the identification, prevention and sustainable reduction of negative effects on the environment.

6) Routine review of the company’s environmental policy, appraisal of goal attainment and definition of new goals in order to achieve continuous improvement.

7) Encouraging the commitment and raising the awareness of staff by the provision of relevant information and appropriate training in respect of employees’ individual responsibility for environmental protection within their working environment and with a view to improving their attitudes and behaviors with regard to the environment.

8) Internal and/or external communications publicizing the company’s environmental policy, its objectives and results achieved.
