Customized Solutions thanks to Modern System Architecture
Thanks to its high scalability, Synapsis Bridge Control can be tailored to meet the individual requirements of any ship type and budget. In accordance with the idea of open architecture, Synapsis Bridge Control uses standardized hardware and software components to prevent from rapid obsolescence and to simplify logistics of spares for the customer, thus further fastening service times and decreasing service costs.
- In its basic configuration, Synapsis Bridge Control features an IMO-compliant combination of rock-solid bridge navigation systems. By combining the NautoPilot 5000 and the Synapsis ECDIS, track control steering of category B / C is possible.
- By extending the Conning Display with ECDIS function, a basic system configuration of Synapsis Bridge Control can easily be prepared for paperless navigation, if approved by flagstate.
- In a medium configuration Synapsis Bridge Control offers advanced degrees of integration. It not only fulfills basic requirements for paperless navigation but is also ready for the upcoming INS Performance Standards.
- Advanced configurations of Synapsis Bridge Control feature a suite of Multifunctional Workstations that offer highest standards of safety while enabling full nav data access anywhere on the bridge. Workstations can also be tailored to integrate other ship systems such as automation or DP.
In general, the workstations of the Synapsis series are tailored to integrate the nautical functions of (chart-) radar, ECDIS, conning and AIS data in any desired combination to allow full control and full data access at a dedicated workplace. Thanks to the standard hardware and software components, possible configurations are ranging from a stand-alone radar or ECDIS workplace to a full integrated Multifunctional Workstation and an Integrated Navigation System in accordance with latest Performance Standards. This not only holds true for an initial system configurations, but also offers highest flexibility with regard to future upgrades and system extensions.
The Synapsis Integration Platform improves the operation of the ship through intelligent and modular integration of all data from sensors and selected ship systems. Apart from the intelligent alert monitoring, the platform features the Consistent Common Reference System (CCRS) that distributes a consistent set of most reliable navigation data through the dual Ethernet bus to all connected workplaces. Furthermore, the central selection of colors and dimming and the central management of configurations and tasks is performed by the Synapsis Integration Platform.
